Tween Beach Session | Surfer Girl Themed Shoot {Orange County Photographer}

This tween beach session was one of the most fun shoots I’ve had to date! Even though my specialty is newborn photography, when I was approached about doing a surfer girl themed shoot I just couldn’t resist. This gorgeous junior higher is a competitive swimmer and loves the water. She is remodeling her bedroom with a surfer theme and wanted to get some professional portraits to go along with the new room design.

We had a beautiful day in sunny Orange County perfect for a photo shoot.   Because we were shooting in full sun, we headed to the Balboa Pier in Newport Beach – a popular tween hangout. The beach was crowded and unfortunately we were photo-bombed in a large number of shots but otherwise the session could not have gone any better. Mom and sister were on hand to help out but this girl is a natural! If the swimming doesn’t work out, I think she should look into modeling. The camera just loves her.
