First birthday milestone session – custom family films.
Ryker’s First Birthday Milestone Session
Happy First Birthday to my little man! I wanted to do something different for his first birthday milestone session so I decided to produce a family film on his actual birthday. You know how passionate I am about photography but when you start incorporating sound and movement into capturing your memories it just takes things to a whole other level. In this short film, I have Ryker’s first word (“da da”), his recently acquired skills of clapping and standing, and a whole array of smiles and expressions. And while I did my best to keep the film focused on him, I also managed to get 2 year old Clayton singing Happy Birthday.
The film itself documents our morning at Disneyland followed by Ryker’s first time eating cake. Tim and I took Ryker to the Happiest Place on Earth while his big brother was in school and had so much fun running around the park with him. The highlights were It’s A Small World where he danced, clapped and giggled the whole ride as well as meeting Mickey in Toon Town. We spent some time in Goofy’s Backyard so that he could get his wiggles out and by the time we were ready to leave the park, Ryker was passed out in the stroller.
Later in the evening we had family over to the house for cake and ice-cream and of course we did a little cake smash. Love this baby boy so much and the memories we captured on his special day!
If you are interested in a family film for an upcoming milestone I would love to help you out! Click here to get in contact and I look forward to discussing your unique project with you!
